Sunday, October 28th is our "Baker of the Day" Event...
Once a year, Tom and I open our bakery doors on a Sunday to host a "Baker of the Day" event.  This event is a fundraiser for a community organization, whereas 100% of the proceeds go to that organization.  For the third year in a row we will be hosting the YOTA Swim Team (YMCA of the Triangle Swim Team) as our organization to support.  This group will have the "run" of the bakery to make, bake and sell our yummy breads.  The athletes will be getting their hands in some dough to make some "dough" to support the YMCA financial assistance fund.  Stop by on Sunday October 28th from 10am-3pm to support our youth as they work raise some "dough" to help others in the YMCA community.

Food Day at Great Harvest is Saturday, October 20th from 1pm-4pm

Are you ready to learn about eating naturally and supporting a sustainable food network?  Food Day is a nationwide celebration and movement for healthy and affordable and sustainable food.  At our event you will learn how we mill the wheat everyday to make our flour.  You will learn that our wheat is from family owned farms located in the "Golden Triangle".  You will have a chance to plant your own wheat grass gardens.  We will even have a "tower" gardener who will teach you how to grow your veggies all winter long.  We will have friends from the Western Wake Farmers' Market and The Produce Box.  Join the fun and learn how to EAT REAL!  For Fun Take the EAT REAL Quiz!
